Moving Image Art Show

(Originally posted Jan 14th, 2014) BACK IN 2008 I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO WORK ON A SKATEBOARDING SKATEBOARDING DOCUMENTARY CALLED DEATHBOWL TO DOWNTOWN (THE EVOLUTION OF NYC SKATEBOARDING).  LITTLE DID I KNOW IT WOULD BE A PROJECT THAT WOULD CONSUME ALMOST A YEAR OF MY LIFE.  IT BEGAN WITH A NYC LAUNCH THAT KICKED OFF WITH 1,000 PERSON SCREENING OF THE FILM FOLLOWED BY AN AFTER PARTY AT THE OLD NYC TUNNEL CLUB (WE REPLICATED THE ORIGINAL VENUE FOR A NIGHT.)  THE FOLLOWING DAY THE WEEKEND OF FESTIVITIES CONTINUED WITH THE MOVING IMAGE ART SHOW CURATED BY IVORY SERRA AT THE ETNIES SHOWROOM IN SOHO AND HOSTED A PARTY IN CELEBRATION OF THE EVENT.  FINALLY WE CLOSED OUT THE WEEKEND WITH A CLASSIC SKATE JAM AT KCDC SKATE SHOP IN WILLIAMSBURG.  HOWEVER THE SERIES DID NOT END THERE, A FEW MONTHS DOWN THE ROAD WE HOSTED ANOTHER SCREENING IN LA FOLLOWED BY AN AFTER PARTY THEN TOOK THE FILM ON 5 CITY TOUR.

BELOW YOU CAN PEEK PEEK A PORTION OF THE MOVING IMAGE ART SHOW.  IMAGES WERE STITCHED TOGETHER BY OUR ROCKSTAR PHOTOGRAPHER BK.  HE’S PRETTY LEGIT ON THE CAMERA…
